Our history

Europlastic S.r.l. has been in the plastic bag manufacturing industry since 1990. These products are mainly intended for

to supermarkets, large retailers,

to the dairy and chemical-pharmaceutical sector.

The business idea was born from the experience of Mr. Natale Michele, who worked for over 10 years in a similar chemical industry

in England as production manager.

In 1981, upon his return to his homeland, strengthened by his technological know-how, he intended to start his own business activity, first setting up a de facto company, transformed into an S.r.l. in 1990.

Over the years, this commitment has mainly involved family resources: his son Antonio first of all, having grown up professionally within his father's business until

to formally assume the role of Sole Director in 2008

The production line

The production line is divided into 3 main phases, during which numerous checks are carried out to guarantee the quality standard that Europlastic usually provides to its customers: the blown film extrusion activity, the transformation process of melted plastics in an extruder that ends with a circular die in the center of which air is blown. In this way a tubular reel is obtained which is then rewound, printed, cut and finds an outlet in many applications (packaging of goods, industrial bags, food packaging, agriculture, etc.).

The shopper production activity, after the tubular film bubble extrusion phase, is subsequently subjected to the printing process from 1 to 6 colors according to the customer's requests.

Regular and thorough quality checks are carried out during the printing process.

In the following phase, the product is cut, punched and sealed to make bags for the take-away goods.

The process ends with the final quality control both in the weight and in the overall result before delivery to the customer.

Innovation at the heart of our business

In August 2014, with the entry into force of the obligation to produce and market disposable bags for the take-away of biodegradable and compostable goods compliant with the UNI-EN 13432:2002 standard, Europlastic S.r.l. has complied with this legislation by basing part of its production on this sector.

In 2018, the company made further investments with the purchase of an extrusion plant with 4.0 technology, improving the technique, skills, characteristics and reliability of the shopper.

Working for many years in the dairy sector, the demand for these bags has grown, having to buy a new automatic welding machine in this regard. 2020.

Considering a significant increase in the demand for biodegradable and compostable products in the large-scale distribution sector, an investment was made in 2021 with the consequent purchase of another automatic electronic welding machine and, in September of the same year, with the addition of an additional extrusion plant, all with 4.0 technology

In 2022 the company purchased an additional automatic electronic welding machine, again for the production of BIO shoppers.
